"Aint no rapper as tough as me/That's why they don't fuck with me/They can label this a diss when the song drop/Cause I'm better than your favorite rapper by a long shot"
Cassidy has been on tour in Dubai and Australia and Kendrick Lamar might just wish Cassidy was asked to go somewhere with censored internet like North Korea and maybe Cassidy would not had said nothing. First, let's take this time to thank the Lords Of Hip Hop for building this competition what it is today. Guys like Kool Moe Dee, Special K, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, Krs-One, Slick Rick, Nas, Biggie, Jay Z, Mase, Jay Z, Nas, 50 Cent, Cassidy, The Game, Nas, Jay Z, Nas, Jay Z, Nas, Jay Z, N--- well you get what we are trying to say. Those cats kept real hip hop relevant in the mainstream as long as possible until the executives got a firm grip and started giving million dollar deals and shows to myspace rappers. I will refrain from naming them all but Souljah Boy tops the list. If it wasn't for them Hip Hop would've died in the late 90's or right after 50 cent got rich. Kendrick Lamar, we thank you. We thank you for leaving out the real lyricist of hip hop. we thank you for indirectly disrespecting those who have done some damage in this game. Nas said "don't ever disrespect me blatant or indirectly" and those who grew to hear that verse took heed.
Ever seen a movie where everybody beefing and don't know why. Well, they are usually comedies or about drug dealers. Think about "Get Him To The GreeK" or one of the "Fast and Furious" or something by Quentin Taratino. Yea, and then there is that cool character that shows up and can just body everyone, take what he came for, and then goes like he came without even an exit interview? Well that's Barry Adrian Reese just did. Now, we heard a whole lot of versions, we heard Lupe right before his. Even cued up the title for Lupe, and then motherfucking Cassidy verse hits and well all of a sudden talking about how Lupe spoke German wasn't interesting. Cassidy didn't just attack Kendrick, he searched for him, developed a report, and hit his house at Zero Dark Thirty. We see people saying not to waste bars on freestyle. STUPID, that is what hip hop is built on. Prove you can rap no beat, on spot, about something relevant, make sense, and have a tight flow, all without being a pussy. "I'm not gonna let you get disrespectful Im gonna address you", "I'm just trying to figure out who Im gonna slaughter next", "I got hyped when I heard that Kendrick Lamar raps/I'm in the booth thinking construction boots and a hard hat", "I'm not the King of New York/But the King of New York know I'm hot", "If you a fan of hiphop you gotta support it", are just a few of his lines from the deadly assassination of Kendrick Lamar. Think of Lebron James dunking on Jason Terry and you will understand the capacity of what just happened. You know how everyone was loving how hard of a time JT gave the KING until that moment.
CASSIDY, if this all it took to get you back to destroying niggaz I would've paid someone to write a diss just to diss me just so I can be impressed with hip hop again. I mean Mr. Lamar is not out yet people. We must give him time to respond. Think of this as 'Lyricist Lounge" gone digital and there is nothing a sponsor can motherfucking do about it. So, perhaps B.A.R.S. is back or maybe, just maybe, it might be Split Personality, either way his bars has never fell off.
Are we bias? Are we just putting this up because we support the
artist known as Rich P? Are we writing this because we have been telling you for
the past three years this kid is just getting better with time? Are we writing
this just because we know him? Perhaps. Do you really care as to why though? Do
you not want to see what we are making all the fuss about? Lets be completely
clear... The original version of "New Slaves" was eehhhhh from an entertainment
point of view. Now if we are talking about a record that finally talks about
something, we must give it a 9.5 on content alone. For Kanye West to
deliver such a prolific, controversial record in this fickle world we call 2013
is a move only made by leaders. For Rich P to follow up with his own
version is so much more daring. Why? He is not Kanye West. His baby mama
is not Kim Kardashian. He did not get a lambo for his birthday. Jay-Z did not
scold him by recording a song called D.O.A.. Rich P does not nearly have
the fan base of Kanye West, but he has the attitude, persona, delivery, vocals,
bars, talent, and EGO
to pull it off. Rich P is rapping from a place of where he is right now.
No embellished stories of wild orgies in Cannes, France like we hear some
unsigned talent rap about. This is uniquely about what he has personally
witnessed and survived and admitting how he must not get caught up in the hype.
Kanye West amazing career has afforded him to witness things that he
himself didnt even know he would while he was writing Jesus Walks many years
ago. Well you be the judge. Music is the one place you can judge without being
called a hater. Well that was until twitter and instagram was
On June 22, 2013 Themicbooth.com will be headed to Allentown to help celebrate PA promoter Kay Love birthday. We won't dare call him local or smalltime. With the host Joseline Hernandez, performances by Rich P of Harlem, NY and COKE BOYZ artist Chinx Drugz of Queens, NY known for the record "Ima Coke Boy" which was atop of New York charts, and also celebrating alongside Memphis Bleek, yes the Memphis Bleek of Roc-A-Fella, Kay Love is getting a lot of love. We see everyone doing their best to impress the BIG HOMIE. The event is going down at Club Horizon in Allentown, PA June 22, 2013. If you are in the area come swing by.
The writing is on the wall. Jay-Z will sign KING JAMES to ROC NATION.
This past week we have all learned, due to conflict of interest in the eyes of the NBA, Jay-Z must sell his stake in the Brooklyn Nets. We highly doubt that he wants to but in interest in growing his empire its the best financial move. Jay-Z isn't one for losing. Roc-a-Fella has sold over 50 million records, ROC NATION still thrives with its current artist line-up, and well then there is JAY-Z. Signing Lebron James will allow Hov to represent a champion. He will represent the man who will likely win the next few titles considering Pat Riley remains a good selector of talent. Selling the NETS also allow Jay to go to HEAT games, a much added bonus.
If there is news out there believe the scoop will be here.
